The transformation to an information society has lead to a diminishing importance of proximity as a factor for local economic development. Information technology (IT) is being regarded as one of the most important means for reducing spatial disadvantages, particularly for rural areas.This training target the graduating 4th year students to learn more in computer basic operations for the purpose of giving them the knowledge when they were able to to choose their course profession after they graduate.

Events that Happened when we Conducted our Survey
School: Mabini National High School
Total Respondents: 50 students
Number of Computers: 7
Available OS Used: 1
Number of Sections: 4
Year Level: 4th Year
Installed Program: Linux
Last December 12,2008 we went to Mabini National High School to conduct survey. We experienced lot of things. First, its expensive because of the questionnaires that we photocopied plus the fare back and fort. When were there, we felt little nervous because it was the first that we conduct survey..We thought that if the students ask questions, can we answer it correctly?haha..but we bear in mind to overcome what we felt that time. So one of the teacher there gathered them in a classroom..And then we started it with introducing ourselves, the school we came from and what are the purposes of that survey. In the beginning, it was difficult to explain on how there are going to answers the questions.And also there were students who did'nt understand it easily.But we tried our best to explained them clearly so that they can understand it. We gave our patience to those students who were "pilosopo". But as we observed, most of the students were interested to be trained. They asked when we will be going to train them. We discussed the questions with little "patawa" so that they can't feel boring.
The result of our survey was definitely good although we felt tired coz we enjoyed it. It was one of our unforgetable moment..

Second Day Session:
After our picture taking for the preparation for graduation we arrive at the Mabini Nat'l High School at 12:30 pm .The students were so excited for our lecture session but sad to say we only had a orientation for the topic needed. We told them the result of their questionnaire we conducted in previous month, and their first priority is internet surfing but the problem is they don't have internet connection, so we decided to tell them their 2nd priority which is the PC operations.After that we ask some questions regarding about their knowledge in computer,and their expectation about the study. We never had enough time for them because we never meet the said scheduled which is 8:00 in the morning. After that we gathered their class attendance.
